Australia ironically fighting for a place on Human Rights Council

Multiple opinion pieces published over the past day pose the question of whether Australia is good enough to join the United Nations Human Rights Council, claiming our nation has significant human rights issues that need to be addressed.

However, as one country already on the council demonstrates overwhelmingly questionable human rights laws, Brian Carlton is appalled that Australia is having to prove itself.
