Jodi's killer fails

The man who killed Tasmanian mother Jodi Eaton in 2014 has lost his appeal against the length of his sentence.

Darren Dobson was jailed for life with a non-parole period of 15 years over the murder of Jodi at Hobart's Bridgewater.

Her body was recovered buried at a rural property whose owner was jailed because of his knowledge in the case.

Citing a need to protect public safety, the court of appeal rejected 40 year old Dobson's bid for a lighter sentence.
