Some Tasmanian firefighters are expected home from Queensland tomorrow, with the end in sight for dozens of exhausted crews who've been battling bushfires across the state for more than a week.
Conditions are beginning to ease, but authorities say they remain focused on fighting more than 100 blazes which remain active.
52 Tasmanian firefighters and incident management specialists have been helping out after flying out last week.
The Bureau of Meteorology's Adam Blazak says rain's on the way.
"We have had a bit of dry thunderstorm activity over the last week, and that was causing issues with igniting fires," he said.
"Any thunderstorms today, any lightning today, should be associated with very, very heavy rainfalls."
