An investigation is underway to discover what caused a fire that destroyed a house in the state's south last night.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on Robbins Place in West Moonah shortly after 11pm, finding the house fully engulfed in flames.
A male occupant was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor burns to his hands.
Three Tasmania Fire Service crews from Hobart, Glenorchy and Clarence were able to extinguish the fire, but the building couldn't be saved.
An investigator is probing the scene now to establish a cause.
