Two cars are in a Tasmania Police impound lot after interceptions on the Bass Highway in the state's northwest.
A Subaru Impreza was clocked at just over twice the 60 kilometre an hour limit at the Heybridge roundabout.
The driver's been fined nearly $1000, lost six points and was disqualified for four months.
And another driver was arrested after police road spiked a Commodore at Latrobe; charges include aggravated evade and failing a roadside drug test.
"That vehicle had initially been detected travelling in excess of 100 km/h in a 70 Zone," said Sergeant Nigel Sheahen.
"Tasmania Police take road safety seriously and wish to remind the motoring public that we may be anywhere at any time."
