Claims that a child who died in April, who'd caught the attention of worried medical staff and family members beforehand, have been raised in Tasmania's parliament.
Labor leader Rebecca White's pressed the Human Services Minister Roger Jaensch to outline whether the Child Safety Service had stepped in at any point.
She's pointed to 'alarming' UTAS study findings in the state's Intensive Family Engagement Service, prompting this from the Minister....
"There are not alarming findings in this evaluation, there are a number of recommendations for review and improvement of how we contract services, how we train people, how we conduct risk assessments."
As for the case of the child's death, the Minister indicated he is not at liberty or willing to discuss individual cases.
