In breaking news, missing bushwalker Michael Bowman has been found by search crews in the Tasmanian wilderness.
The 57-year-old Victorian has been found by rescue crews scouring the Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair National Park for the past 3 days in atrocious conditions.
The experienced bushwalker was due to return from a walk around Mount Cuvier on Saturday.
Efforts to get the rescue helicopter into the air were continually hampered by the weather.
Bowman was well-equipped with warm clothes, a tent and an emergency homing beacon - which wasn't activated for reasons not yet known.
He's been airlifted to the Royal Hobart Hospital as a precaution for a medical assessment.
Earlier today authorities also located a father and his teenage daughter from WA who got into trouble hiking near Pelion Hut.
A school group and a UK man near Dove Lake also required emergency assistance.
