Firearms stolen from home

Police in the state's south are appealing for information after seven registered firearms were stolen from a house in New Norfolk.

Authorities were called to the house on North Cresent about 4.30pm on Monday after the owner returned home to find the front door lock had been forced open.

The owner’s gun safe and a separate container storing ammunition were also forced open.

3 double barrel shotguns, 3 rifles and 1 single barrel shotgun, as well as the ammunition were taken from the property.
