One of the state's major salmon producers is expected to harvest massive volumes this financial year.
Tasmanian company Huon Aquiculture says its salmon harvest will increase, to at least 36 thousand tonnes, thanks to a five-year investment program.
Huon processed more than 25 thousand tonnes in 2019-20, which was a 36 per cent increase compared to the previous year.
In the company's latest annual report, it says disruptions to air freight services due to coronavirus had affected access to international markets such as Asia since March.
The company's focus has since been on Australian retail, especially supermarkets and restaurants.
