Take two on Prospect water fix

Running water has been restored to dozens of homes and businesses in Prospect for a second time in 24 hours.

Tuesday's first repair effort by TasWater crews on Westbury Road, Caroline Street, Guinness Court, Luxmore Place, Prospect and Bertha Streets lasted about 4 hours and finished at around 4pm, before problems re-emerged later that evening.

"We thank customers for their patience during this time," a TasWater spokesperson said.

Supply was fully restored shortly before 8 o'clock on Wednesday.

During the outages, bottled water was made available for impacted customers from crews on site near the Old Tudor shopping complex.
