Virgin is putting on more flights to and from Tasmania.
The carrier is getting in early ahead of summer, putting on routes to Perth and Adelaide out of Tasmania's capital.
Hobart Airport CEO Norris Carter says it's always exciting when a new service comes online, welcoming the new services to South Australia and the resumption of the WA link.
“With Christmas just around the corner, we’re hoping that these services will help families reunite after a tough year and spend time together.
“We’re hopeful that this is a sign of what’s to come and that more flights can be added to and from Hobart as borders reopen.”
The Adelaide service, complementing one already running out of Launceston, will begin on October 22, operating four times per week.
Three weekly flights to and from Perth start again on the 29th of next month.
