Unemployment has fallen in Tasmania.
ABS data for August found Tasmania's unemployment rate went from equal lowest to the highest in Australia at 5.5% percent in the space of a month.
Happily, it's plunged 0.7% to 4.8% for September.
It now lifts the number of those employed in Tasmania to 263,100 seasonally adjusted, which the government calls a new record high.
Where the state does still lag all other jurisdictions is the measure of confidence of job hunters actually securing a role called the participation rate.
