Full Covid vaccination for Tasmania's eligible population is just shy of 85%, 22 days out from the state's hard border ending.
A few days ago, 37,000 people had still not received their second shot of vaccine in the race to the target of 90% double dosed by opening day on December 15th.
Premier Gutwein telling parliament, Tasmanians have been given every chance to be covered.
"I am now confident that every Tasmanian that is eligible has had the opportunity to receive the vaccine, if they turn up, our borders will reopen on the 15th of December."
Meanwhile, the state government will consider delaying the start of the school year to allow enough time for primary school students to be vaccinated for coronavirus.
It's anticipated the Therapeutic Goods Administration won't approve vaccines for 5 to 11 years olds until January or February.
