Tasmania has recorded 853 new cases of coronavirus in the latest data form Public Health.
It's a similar figure to the previous day, while active infections are now up to nearly 4300.
12 people are in hospital with COVID, two more than yesterday, but only 3 of those are being treated specifically for the virus
Patients in the intensive care unit and deaths remain unchanged.
It follows changes to rules announced yesterday.
Being fully vaccinated will no longer be a requirement to enter the state or to enter pubs, clubs and live events from midnight Friday.
"These changes are more confirmation that Tasmania is returning to normal," Premier Peter Gutwein said.
Under the new arrangements, close contacts will only have to quarantine for seven days from the date of the first case in the household, regardless of whether or not new infections are diagnosed in the home during that time.
