A motion to raise the rainbow flag at Meander Valley Council has been overwhelmingly voted down.

Councillor Andrew Connor put forward the motion at a meeting on Tuesday afternoon, after speaking with Brian Carlton about his reasons for wanting to raise the rainbow flag on Monday.

Today, Councillor Connor talks to Martin Agatyn on Tasmania Talks about the outcome of the motion, and the community backlash to the idea.
