“He was a human kind of Aslan figure [from Narnia] – he was kind, a gentle giant, he was humble but he had enormous power and ability to inspire…”

That is how Louise Fairfax lovingly describes her husband Bruce Fairfax, who failed to be found after going missing on a bushwalk on Saturday 14th October.

A beloved teacher and figure in the community, the search for Bruce at Duckhole Lake was suspended last week, after SES failed to find the 66-year-old man with Parkinson’s.

Listen as Louise Fairfax speaks with Brian Carlton about Bruce, his life, and that tragic final bushwalk.

Bruce’s memorial service will be held at the Launceston Grammar School hall at 4.30 pm on 3rd November.
