If a second road bridge across the Tamar were to be considered for Launceston, it would need to be discussed sooner rather later, according to the RACT.

Whilst there is no set policy surrounding the West Tamar Highway and a second bridge across the Tamar, Executive General Manager of Membership and Community for the RACT, Stacey Pennicott, says that it is necessary to start thinking about this kind of infrastructure now to relieve traffic.

Listen as Brian Carlton discusses the idea with Ms Pennicott, who says that she believes a second bridge would create a longer term result of less traffic in the CBD.
