UTAS talks role in SpaceX mission

Tasmanian scientists have been at the forefront of an intergalactic mission seen around the globe.

Scientists from the University of Tasmania have played a part in the SpaceX launch last week, with the Mt Pleasant Radio Observatory taking some of the breathtaking photos of ‘Starman’ cruising outside the Earth’s orbit.

Brian Carlton speaks to Head of Physics at the University of the Tasmania, Professor Simon Ellingsen, to find out what UTAS' role was in the SpaceX mission.
