Reports of dog baiting in St Helen’s have raised concerns that this is not an isolated incident.
Amanda Westbrook found a mix of chicken, gravy and snail bait in her yard this past Easter long weekend, intended to harm her dogs. The dogs did not touch the bait as they have a strict dinner routine, which may have saved their lives.
But Sam Drotsky, of Legana, was not so lucky. Last year her dogs were targeted by an unknown poison, and both dogs tragically passed away.
Listen as Amanda and Sam speak to Brian Carlton about their experiences with dog baits.
