King George Whiting, calamari and rock lobsters are all on the table for discussion at tonight’s North-West Recreational Fisheries forum in Devonport.
The forum features a panel of presenters from UTAS and DPIPWE, and will discuss a snapshot of the biology of key recreational fish in North-West Tasmania.
Dr James Haddy, Lecturer at the Institute of Marine and Antarctic Studies, is one of the forum’s presenters. He speaks with Brian Carlton about some of the changes we have seen in north-west fish and fishermen, and what to expect from the forum.
The Fisheries Forum will be held tonight at the Mersey Yacht Club (6 Anchor Drive, East Devonport) from 6:30 – 8pm. Phone 6165 3047 or go to the Facebook event to pre-register questions.
