The State Government is working with local TSL presidents and local football personalities to set a path to Tasmania’s own AFL team.
Many people were disappointed last week when the AFL steering committee handed down their decisions for Tasmania’s footy future, and a standalone team was not part of the deal.
Liberal Member for Braddon, Adam Brooks, is a big footy fan and says we’ve always had the aspiration of having our team. However, he tells Brian Carlton that he is still a fan of subsiding Hawthorn and North Melbourne in the state.
They also discuss the reopening of the Avebury Mine, which Mr Brooks advocated for when he was a Minister in State Parliament.
