There is renewed hope that Edward 'Teddy' Sheean will be granted a Victoria Cross medal after a two-day hearing in Hobart.
The Defence Honours and Awards Tribunal held a public hearing in Hobart on Monday and Tuesday, in what will be the final determination of whether Teddy Sheean is awarded the Victoria Cross or not. A spokesperson from the Royal Australian Navy said at the hearing that if Teddy's actions took place in 2019, he would recieve a gallantry (which would include a VC).
Garry Ivory, the nephew of Teddy Sheean, talks to Brian Carlton this morning about how the hearings went and what the process is now.
