Yesterday both the Liberal and Labor parties made significant funding announcements for Launceston, in a last ditch effort to secure votes in the key seat of Bass.
The Liberal party pledged $15 million for the Northern Suburbs Hub and $10 million for an upgrade of the Albert Hall, with the Labor party pledging $10 million for the Hub and $10 million for the Albert Hall.
Mayor of Launceston City Council, Albert Van Zetten, talks to Brian Carlton this morning about the funding promises, and gives more details of the project. They also discuss the promise of an Eastern bypass for Launceston.
