The Beauty Point community is rallying behind their neighbour Ron Spiteri, who lost everything in a house fire almost two weeks ago.
It is unknown what caused the fire, but the 74-year-old was left with nothing but the clothes on his back.
The Beauty Point Service Station is running a fundraiser day this Saturday to help Ron, calling it the ‘Support Your Neighbour Day.’
Owner of the Beauty Point Service Station, Dannielle Murfet, talks to Brian Carlton this morning about the importance of helping their neighbour.
This Saturday 15th June, five cents from every litre of petrol sold will be donated to Ron. There will also be a sausage sizzle thanks to Beaconsfield Meats and West Tamar Rotary Club.
There is also a raffle that will be drawn on Saturday. If you would like to donate a raffle prize, please call the service station on 6383 4379.
