When Tasmania Talks started this morning, our auction item for Beauty Point fire victim Ron Spiteri was at $400.

By the end of the show, thanks to wonderful listeners and local businesses, we have raised $2825 from the Tasmania Talks community for Ron.

Dannielle Murfet, from the Beauty Point service station, joins Brian Carlton in the studio to discuss what’s happening tomorrow and listen as the donations roll in.

A big shout out to Grant from Devonport, who won the Hobart Hurricanes bat with a bid of $1000.

A big thank you to our other donors from this week, which include: Exeter Service sand Community Group,  Shedcorp Tas, Proscaf, Mclaren’s Transport, Tas City Building, Tasmanian Ground Screws and Tamar Cove Motel and Restaurant.

Don’t forget that there is a fundraising day at the Beauty Point Service Station this Saturday 15th June (tomorrow). Five cents from every litre of petrol sold will be donated to Ron, and there will be a sausage sizzle thanks to Beaconsfield Meats and West Tamar Rotary Club.

There is also a raffle that will be drawn on Saturday. If you would like to make a donation please call the service station on 6383 4379.
