The Tamar Natural Resources Management (Tamar NRM) group is calling for our major supermarkets to rethink their plastic collectable gifts-with-purchase – currently the Coles Little Shop 2 series and the Woolworths Lion King Ooshies.
Greg Lundstrom, Project Coordinator for Tamar NRM, says Coles and Woolies should be leading the way with reducing waste instead of releasing products that will likely end up in landfill or our waterways.
“At some stage we’ve got to turn a corner and start looking at alternatives,” he says.
Listen as Greg joins Brian Carlton to discuss his concerns.
