Industry Super Australia says the Federal Government needs to make a ‘simple fix’ to the way superannuation is paid to employees.

Currently superannuation is paid quarterly by employers. However as Tasmania Talks has learnt over the past few weeks, while there may be super contributions on a pay slip, this does not necessarily mean it has been paid into the super funds.

Industry Super Australia says that 51,350 workers in Tasmania are missing out on a total of $94.8 million in super.

CEO of Industry Super Australia, Bernie Dean, speaks with Brian Carlton this morning and says that superannuation should be paid by employees every pay day.
