Indian’s first moon landing attempt hits trouble

India's first attempt at landing a spacecraft on the moon didn't quite go as planned.
“Mission Control” lost contact with the unmanned Vikram lunar lander just moments before it made a hard landing onto the moon's surface.

However there’s still some hope that contact can be made with the lander, as images taken from the mission’s orbiter show the location of the lander on the moon.
