Womat poo

If you won any type of Nobel Prize, surely you would turn up to accept the award in a wombat costume?

That’s exactly what Senior Lecturer in Wildlife Ecology, Dr Scott Carver, did when he and his team won the Ig Nobel Prize for their research on why wombat poo is cubed. The Ig Prize is given to research that ‘makes you laugh, and then makes you think.’

You can see Dr Carver and the research team accept the award from the 1:12:00 mark.

Dr Carver talks to Rick Fontyn this morning to discuss just exactly why wombat poo is cubed, and why he wore a wombat costume to accept the award.
