School phone bans to come into effect from term two next year

The Tasmanian Government has revealed a new policy restricting the use of mobile phones in schools.

The policy will come into effect in term two of next year, and will prevent students from using their mobile phones during school hours.

Commissioner for Children and Young People, Leanne McLean, says students have had mixed opinions on the restrictions.
