The Spirit of Tasmania Cycling Tour is one of Australia's toughest road races, with a rich history dating back to 1930.
Previous winners of the tour include 2011 Tour de France champion, Cadel Evans, and our very own, Richie Porte, just to name a few.
The first leg of this year’s race kicks off tomorrow, with cyclists taking on the infamous Brisbane Street West “Zig Zag” in a timed prologue.
The tour will then continue over four days, with the race concluding in Devonport on Saturday the 7th.
Listen as Race Director, Scott McGrory, joins Martin Agatyn to discuss this year's race and how the tour has become one of Australian cycling’s premier events.
