RACT encouraging motorists to shop around for fuel

refuel 2157211 640 3

Tasmania Talks received reports yesterday of service stations in the North West offering fuel for as little as 139.9 per litre, 17c less than other stations nearby.

RACT believes these low prices may be re-opening specials for those particular stations, but encourages motorists to shop around and take advantage of cheaper fuel, to encourage servos to offer these reduced prices.

Listen as Darren Moody, RACT General Manager of Mobility Services, joins Martin Agatyn to discuss the price of fuel, stating there’s no reason why prices shouldn’t remain consistent over the Christmas break.

RACT is calling for the State Government to legislate and implement real-time fuel price monitoring in Tasmania, if you would like to sign their petition, click here.
