The House of Assembly’s Select Committee on Housing Affordability has released its final report, calling for a review of residential tenancy guidelines.

The report recommends caps on rent increases, more tolerance for renters with pets, and less short-stay accommodation permits in areas struggling with a housing shortage.

Listen as Ben Bartl, Solicitor from the Tenants Union of Tasmania, joins Aaron Stevens to discuss the problems renting in our state.

Aaron also hears from committee chairman, Shadow Minister for Housing Alison Standen, about the report.
