Premier sets date for reopening borders, what does this mean for tourism and foreign workers?

Premier Peter Gutwein announced on Friday that Tasmania’s borders will reopen on July 24th subject to public health advice.

Guy Barnett, Minister for Primary Industries and Water, Minister for Energy, Minister for Resources, and Minister for Veterans' Affairs, says it’s good that we have a date to work towards, but the pandemic has raised issues for farmers relying on foreign workers.

Peter Cornish, CEO of Fruit Growers Tasmania, also joins Aaron to discuss the announcement, stating there is a number of foreign workers who have left the state that are keen to come back.
