Greens Senator calling for ban on single-use plastics

Tasmania is falling behind the rest of the nation when it comes to our legislation and recycling of single use plastics.

A recent scorecard from WWF rated Tassie in equal last with Victoria and the Northern Territory, with Queensland coming out on top with their tough plastic controls.

Peter Whish-Wilson, Greens Senator for Tasmania, is today placing a bill before the Senate urging the Government to take action and implement a single-use plastic ban.

Listen as Senator Whish-Wilson joins Aaron ahead of the hearing to discuss implementing changes slowly but surely, as well as some other hot topics including Teddy Sheean’s VC panel and COVID testing at our borders.
