Tattooed blood donors now won’t have to wait four months after getting inked to donate plasma, with Australian Red Cross Lifeblood last week announcing the rule no longer applies.

This comes as Lifeblood requires 550 additional plasma donations across the northern half of the state during the rest of the month.

Listen as Doug Allen, Lifeblood spokesperson, joins Aaron Stevens to discuss the change in rules, and the process and importance of donating plasma.
