The Tasmanian business community is eagerly awaiting October 26, when our state borders are set to reopen to COVID-safe jurisdictions.
However, there are concerns over inconsistencies in restrictions between states, including the standing while drinking rules in Tasmania which don’t apply in most other states.
Independent MP Madeleine Ogilvie raised the issue in Question Time yesterday.
Listen as Madeleine joins Aaron Stevens to discuss her concerns.
David Peach, Executive Officer of the Launceston Chamber of Commerce, speaks with Aaron about the inconsistencies and the impact on local businesses.
And, Aaron is joined by Baden Brown, Director of Launceston Travel and Cruise Centre, to discuss how travel will work when borders reopen.
