It's been a year since the Tasmanian AFL Team Taskforce submitted its 267-page report to the AFL for consideration.

However, as the State Government still hasn’t heard anything back from the AFL a year later, Premier Peter Gutwein has offered up an ultimatum.

Unless some kind of plan is put in place for a standalone team for Tasmania, our state’s deals with both Hawthorn and North Melbourne football clubs will not continue after 2021.

Listen as Chair of the Tasmanian AFL Team Taskforce, Brett Godfrey, joins Mike O’Loughlin to discuss the Premier’s ultimatum, and whether Tasmania will ever get an AFL team of its own.
